Creating and Exploring Art
At Legacy Christian Academy, visual arts instruction goes far beyond the canvas, it is a hands-on exploration of faith, problem-solving, and human creativity. Grounded in the truth that God is the Master Artist who created us in His image, our program equips students to become confident "junior creators."
Through a comprehensive curriculum, students develop essential technical skills alongside critical life lessons. In elementary and middle grades, students learn resilience and real-world problem-solving, discovering how to persevere through mistakes rather than giving up. In high school, students master the full creative design process, ideation, iteration, and lateral thinking, preparing them to excel in complex fields like design, engineering, and digital media.

In every grade, art at LCA reveals the deep connection between the Creator and the created, inspiring students to use their gifts to glorify God and impact the world around them.
"In the beginning, God created. Because we are made in His image, He invites our students to come alongside Him to express creativity, build resilience, and discover how even unexpected mistakes can become something beautiful."
"When students shape clay on the wheel or navigate the design process, they experience firsthand how God sees and shapes each of us. They learn to put their hands to work as junior creators to build His kingdom."
